It had been a long time since we had heard from the Italian-Swiss. The last time was two years ago when GoTIka – the 1st Gothic festival in Ticino – took place.
Today the Ticinese artist Marco Guglielmetti with his solo project Infesta has released his first video: “Brucia i Ponti”. This production is a preview of the upcoming album Passerella that will be released on January 7.

The video is like a timeless postcard that shows the transience of time. The plot is simple and effective. It can make you feel nostalgic for something you haven’t even experienced. A calm ghostly voice tells you wise advice, accompanied by a minimalist soundscape like an expression of dopo-postmodernism. Faint interrupted melodies in the background while a hypnotizing bassline marks the beat until you lose track of time without having been able to cross the bridge on the postcard you are looking at.
So take your time, find a good spot, lie down, put on your headphones, press play, close your eyes, cross it, and then set fire to everything you don’t need to keep with you. Then you will have reached the other side.
