Nietzsche said that “Every profound spirit needs a mask” and Seneca said that “No one can wear a mask for very long.” And so we could talk about the depth or the superficiality of the human nature, but actually we don’t want to philosophize nor do we want to unmask nobody. Let’s enjoy the music of these two enigmatic duos. So forget the names or faces and let’s focus on the music.

When you listen to BLACKBOOK you quickly get into a new wave synthpop atmosphere. And above all, you notice the quality of the music production. That’s the work of two experienced music producers who camouflage behind. A.d.D. is responsible for many radio hits as well as for the title song to a successful Netflix series, and M.K. keeps busy as a musician with projects that have been claiming the top of the charts in Europe.
M.K. & A.d.D.

Besides their work in the comercial music business, the duo has also a darker alter ego, which is not an open book for everybody. So is BLACKBOOK the right channel to produce this B-side they also carry inside. And now they release one synthpop hit after the other.

Last month, on June 3, the duo released their latest single, “Emergency Love” a great dystopian track sending out a synthesized S.O.S. (+ a wink at Hypnotic Samba – “Stop Watch”). And on August 5, BLACKBOOK will be releasing the single “Minefield” (always via darkTunes). Well, that’s nice, but the question is: will it be possible to see BLACKBOOK someday live? The answer, my friend, is written in the black book.

BLACKBOOK – People Are Fake

BLACKBOOK – My Darkest Memory

Through their synth-guitar-wave, LOAD create their cosmic soundtrack and take you with them on a spectacular trip to their own 80’s retro movie. Armed with razorsharp synthesizers and cutting-edge guitar force they aim to celebrate both pleasures and pain of the modern spirit without ever forgetting certain retroesque roots.

Zaffre & Cyan

For obvious reasons, Zaffre and Cyan had to wait 2 years, wearing other types of masks, to play their first live concert (April 9) and present their great debut album SuperEgo. An awesome production! 80’s but contemporary, synths but guitars. We highly recommend it!

This year LOAD did their first 3 live shows, although a first presentation in front of a dark/synth audience is yet to come. It will be perfect if some local scene label could present this amazing band live. So stay tuned for the next concerts. We will be attentive to publish the next dates of LOAD reloaded.
